The Italian architect Filippo Brunelleschi is credited with the discovery around 1410 of linear one-point perspective. This interactive presents a basic overview of what is involved in one-point perspective and how it compares with non-linear perspective works of art. A city landscape using point perspective is shown and the user is asked to place a horizon line and determine the origination of the one-point perspective, they then drag out perspective lines from that receding point matching the edges and shapes of the buildings in the painting.
This project is another in a series of projects created for The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore to be a part of their Integrating the Arts program, produced by Sandbox Studio.
